The Embassy wishes to inform all Philippine citizens in Kuwait, who are at least eighteen (18) of age on the day of elections and not otherwise disqualified by law, may register at the Embassy so they could vote for Senators and Party List Representatives in the 14 May 2007 national elections. All applications for registration/certification as overseas absentee voter and the application to vote in absentia must be filed at the Embassy on 01 October 2005 to 31 August 2006. The voting period will be from 14 April 2007 until 3:00 p.m., Philippine time of 14 May 2007.

To register, every applicant should appear personally at the Embassy, present his/her valid passport, or in case of seafarer, a photocopy of his Seaman’s Book or any other document that will prove he is a seafarer, accomplish OAVF (Overseas Absentee Voting Form) No. 1, and submit oneself to biometrics capture. The Embassy may require additional data/document to establish the identity and qualification of the applicant.

The Embassy encourages all qualified Philippine nationals in Kuwait to register as soon as possible.
