Foreign Nationals Entering the Philippines for Recruitment Purposes

The Philippine Embassy wishes to announce the following information to all Foreign nationals applying for a temporary visitor's visa primarily for entering the Philippines for recruitment purposes:

  • Section 35 of 2002 Codified Visa Rules and Regulations, p. 15 states that "any alien who possesses a temporary visitor's visa and engages in labor recruitment in the Philippines should secure a Special Work Permit from Bureau of Immigration upon arrival in the Philippines"; and
  • Violation of this rule constitutes a deportable offense under the Philippine Immigration Act.
