The Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines in the State of Kuwait wishes to inform the public that, upon the instructions of the Department of Foreign Affairs in Manila, requests for the extension of the validity of expired Philippine passports will no longer be entertained. This is in consonance with the Philippine Passport Act of 1996 and its Implementing Rules and Regulations.

In this regard, all Filipinos are encouraged to be mindful of the expiry date of their passports and renew them at least six (6) months before they expire to avoid inconvenience. The Embassy as well as the Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) are ready to assist Filipinos should they encounter problems regarding the implementation of this regulation.
